Boulder's housing prices are much higher on average (189 housing index) due to the city's restrictive growth and the town being land locked by open space and mountains.

As for the past few years much of the growth has occurred at the north edge of Boulder where Broadway meets 36. Many of these houses are planned to be affordable. Real estate in Boulder will remain strong because the town has done an excellent job at not letting urban sprawl occur as it has in neighboring towns such as Superior Colorado.
Boulder has two large events each year - Bolder Boulder and Kinetics along with other events like the CU football games.
