Longmont:

Located just 20 minutes north of Boulder, Longmont is the second largest town in Boulder County. With its location between Boulder and Ft. Collins, Longmont has developed its own personality and somewhat separates itself from Boulder.

Longmont sits directly due east from Long's Peak which offers great views of both Long's Peak and Mount Meeker. The town gets part of its name from Long's Peak and the other part from the French word mont (mountain). Longmont home rentals

Longmont boasts many high-tech employers, over 25% of jobs in Longmont are in the high-tech field.
Longmont real estate prices are much more affordable than other towns within Boulder County. One very interesting area of Longmont is the new Prospect community which is a small very eclectic housing and commercial district in viewing distance of route 287. Walking through this community feels a little like walking through a movie set or Disneyland. Although some of the home styles are from 100 years ago, they are in perfect shape because they are brand new.

Longmont has been growing fast due to those who work in Boulder and can not afford the outrageous Boulder housing prices. However in recent years, Longmont has passed a sales tax increase to purchase open space to prevent the town from growing to quickly.
There are three good golf courses that many people from Boulder travel up to visit.
